Energieffektivisering av Exaktas elförbrukning

This thesis was completed at Exakta Printing in Malmo. The purpose of this work was to identify different elements that consume energy, such as lightning, machinery, compressed air, ventilation, etc., in order to present several suggestions on how to reduce the energy consumption and the costs within the chosen area. In order to make a detail analysis of the company's energy consumption a visual examination and a detailed documentation was executed to obtain accurate measurements. All measurements of the power consumption of each group were conducted using a power meter. The theoretical part presented in this thesis is based on literature studies and presents basic facts about different energy consuming elements occurring in an industrial environment. The proposals presented in this thesis emphasize on maximum cost and energy reducing actions. The methods proposed include installation of daylight sensors, motion/presence detectors, LED lightning, heat recovery, leak detection and rotor speed regulation using a frequency converter
