This study is about how preschool teachers interpret the Swedish legislative rule concerning mandatory reporting and how organizational culture affects the teacher to make a report. Our main questions are: How is the obligation to report in SoL 14:1 interpreted by preschool teachers and how is the obligation to notify practiced based on their interpretation? Are there and how do preschool teachers perceive the support from their organization and how does it in turn affect the pre-school teacher's actions? We answer the questions through a qualitative interview study and previous research.
