Criminality is an issue that is dealt with by many different agencies. The purpose of our study was to interpret and analyze which factors are of importance to an individuals road into criminality, the time spent in criminality, and the road out of criminality. The study was implemented using a qualitative method by conducting six (6) semi-structured interviews with male criminal offenders that have admitted to their criminal behavior, are adults, and have been a criminal for more then five (5) years. The results show that upbringing had an effect on their road into criminality, and, belonging and the access to fast money kept them in the criminal lifestyle.
