Hur ska utveckling skapas? En kvalitativ idéanalys av Sidas samarbetsstrategier för fattigdomsbekämpning

In this essay the purpose is to see which ideas about development that are framed by Sida in the swedish development discourse. The method used for the study is an idea analysis. By creating two ideal types, a dominant and a critical perspective the aim is to see if any of the perspectives are more occuring in the swedish development discourse. The study focuses on development as poverty reduction and what actions and way of control that is needed in order to live up to the swedish development goals. The material used for this study are Sidas perspective on poverty and country strategies for Kenya, Mocambique and Tanzania. Furthermore, the definition of poverty by Sida belongs to the critical perspective. However both control and actions are weakly dominated by the dominant perspective
