Abbas Rezai som hjälte eller offer? : En kvalitativ textanalys av dagspressens beskrivningar om pojkar som utsätts för hedersrelaterat våld

It is a big challenge for social work to catch up on all the victims of honor-related violence and oppression. A group that isn´t usually mentioned in the media are boys. The aim of this study is to understand how the Swedish newspapers construct honor related violence, and oppression, against boys from a genus perspective, in the case of Abbas Rezai during the period 2006-2014. The study is based on a qualitative approach with a targeted selection. Articles from newspapers were examined in a qualitative text analysis in order to get answers to my research questions. The texts were analyzed on the basis of five analyzed issues to, among other things, get access to the implied. I got some help from my theoretical perspectives, which was queer theory and normalization theory. The result showed that the Swedish daily press makes a clear distinction between "us and them". Honors Culture is associated with the other in other countries. The boys are not always described as victims, or even the word "honor" is mentioned associated with these boys. The result shows that I unlike previous research notes how the boys are described and presented.
