PENINGKATAN AKTIVITAS DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI

This study aims to analyze the use of inquiry learning model in increasing IPS learning activity on 8th Grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Bandar Lampung. The method used action research conducted in 3 sessions. The results showed that (1) the first cycle, the student activity is 45,83% and the student learning outcomes completeness is 41,66%, (2) the second cycle, the student activity increased by 14,63% so that to become 60,46% and the student learning outcomes increased by 19,87% to become 61,53%, (3) the third cycle, the student activity increased by 22,65% so that to become 83,11% and the student learning outcomes increased by 26,93% to become 88,46%. We can conclude that the use of inquiry learning model can improve the activity and learning outcomes in IPS subject at 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 12 Bandar Lampung academic year 2013/2014.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri dalam peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Bandar Lampung. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam 3 siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) siklus I, aktivitas siswa sebesar 45,83% dan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa 41,66%, (2) siklus II, aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 14,63% sehingga menjadi sebesar 60,46% dan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa meningkat sebesar 19,87% sehingga menjadi 61,53%, (3) siklus III, aktivitas siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 22,65% sehingga menjadi sebesar 83,11% dan ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa meningkat sebesar 26,93% sehingga menjadi 88,46%. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2013/2014.Kata kunci: aktivitas, hasil belajar, model pembelajaran inkuiri
