The purpose of this study was to examine how mangers in eldercare in the municipality of Helsingborg view the causes of burnout among employees and staff members, how they handle the situation when burnout appear and which preventive measures they use at the working site. The purpose was also to examine if the facts mentioned by the managers was supported by former studies and already existing research made on burnout and the burnout syndrome. I considered that the use of a qualitative method with interviews combined with a study of literature to be the most preferable way to get relevant answers to my questions.
