This report contains an evaluation of the personal safety in case of fire at the shopping centre Veddesta Köpcentrum. Three different fire scenarios and design fires are chosen to represent the worst case scenarios likely to occur in the building. Time until critical conditions in each scenario is determined by using the computer program CFAST and hand calculations. This time is then compared to the egress time, which is estimated by using the computer program Simulex and reference litterature. The main conclusion of the report is that the safety in the building in case of fire is not satisfied. Improvements of the building’s fire safety design must be achieved.
