The primary aim of this essay is to present an ontological declaration of the international system. The secondary aim is to explain the main structures and processes within and beyond the system. To accomplish the first aim I have placed special attention on philosophical and ontological matters that are not normally addressed in political science. The main instrument in analyzing the structure of philosophy of science has been the scientific realism approach, which has given me the opportunity to delve deeper into the ontology of international life.
