The Influence Of Education on The Entrepreneurial Mindset and Experiential Learning in New Venture Creation

The aim of this article is to provide an insight into how entrepreneurship education has influenced the entrepreneurial mindset and experience of an entrepreneurial student and how that increases her skills and abilities in the process of new venture creation. The paper discusses the various theories pertaining to entrepreneurship education and assumptions made by researchers in the field of entrepreneurial learning. The author utilizes the method of autoethnology in the analysis to compare, contrast and critique literature on entrepreneurial education, using examples of her own experiences in the program. These experiences in the Entrepreneurship program provide the data for analysis. The analysis suggests that given the literature presented, the entrepreneurship education that the author received, provided the necessary skills and competencies to be a successful entrepreneur who is fully capable of developing the business idea from concept to commercialization.
