The practical use of crowd funding

Crowd funding is emerging as a new way of fundraising means for recent years. While people hold quite different opinions on the practical use of crowd funding. Some people believe crowd funding may have a bright future as a fundraising mechanism, while other people consider that crowd funding is just a flash in a pan. This thesis aims at exploring how crowd funding developed and why it worked. The research was based on two cases and four perspectives. Instead of interviewing crowd funding platform mangers, hundreds of crowd funding participants in real lives were selected as interviewees. This is because crowd funding is an activity which involve a large number of crowd
