KETERLIBATAN ORANGTUA DALAM PENDIDIKAN ANAK USIA DINI DAN SD KELAS AWAL DITINJAUAN DARI PENDEKATAN REGGIO EMILLIA DI YOGYAKARTA

Education is one of the efforts that could be used for sustainable development, due to the high quality education, the human resources as the main focus of development work will result in maximum. High quality educational programs characterized by family involvement in the learning process. The involvement of the family that parents are active will have great usefulness for educational programs, children and parents themselves. For early childhood and elementary classes early parental involvement is a form of assistance is needed especially in times tranisi child. This study examines the extent of parental involvement from the perspective Reggio Emilia approach that emphasizes the concept of "three protagonists of education". This research is a descriptive study with qualitative approach that involved 10 early childhood education and 5 SD spread in the city of Yogyakarta. Data were taken by observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that parental involvement is at a low level with passive activities within the learning system.Keywords: early childhood, Reggio Emilia approach, the involvement of parent
