PENGGUNAAN MEDIA KARTU HURUF UNTUK MENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA LANCAR SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract : The aims of the research is to verify whether the technique of using font card can improve the students’ fluently reading of the first year students of SDN 2 Cabeankunti Cepogo Boyolali. In this research, the writer uses in the classroom action research. In classroom action research, the researcher will present the result of the study which consists of two parts namely: Cycle 1 and cycle 2. in each part cycle, it will be discussed 1) planning the action, 2) doing the action, 3) observation and reflecting, 4) analysis and evaluation. The technique of collecting the data is qualitative method by observation, interview, and test. To validity of data, the writer takes and applies content validity and data triangulation. The results of the data analysis are as follow: the technique of using letters card can improve the students’ fluently of the first year students of SDN 2 Cabeankunti Cepogo Boyolali Academic Year 2011/2012. It can be seen from the students’ mean score improving. In the end of second meeting in first cycle showed that the mean score is 81.67 from before research that is 69.95. Meanwhile, in the end of second cycle showed that the mean score is 86.43. And this research, can improve of the learning completeness percentage, that is from 42.86% be 85.71% in first cycle of second meeting, and be 100% in second cycle of second meeting. By using letters card media can improve the students’ activity and creativity of learning of Indonesian subject, especially in fluently reading
