Abstract: The purpose of this research is to improve the scale ratio calculating competency using Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) type of cooperative learning model. The subject of research was the V grade of SD Negeri I Pelem, containing 41 students. This research is a classroom action research which consisted of two cycles, each cycles had two meetings. Every cycles consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection activities. The technique of collecting the data used the data used was observation, documentation, and test.The technique of analyzing the data used was interactive analysis technique which consisted of 3 components; they are data reduction, data presentation, and making conclusing of verification.
