PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN BERCERITA MELALUI PENGGUNAAN METODE PEMBELAJARAN PAIRED STORYTELLING

Abstract: The objective of this research is to investigate the improvement of storytelling ability using paired storytelling learning method on the students at grade V of Majasto 02 State Elementary School of Sukoharjo in the academic year of 2015/2016. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) that had been done in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages, they are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was using test, observation, interview, and documentation as the data collection. The validation data was triangulation technique. The data analysis techniques of this research were comparative descriptive and interactive analysis techniques. The result of this classrom action research showed the improvement of storytelling ability with the classroom average score of 49,50 and the classroom achievement percentage of 12,50% on the pre-action, in the cycle I the classroom average score increased into 60,75 with the classroom achievement percentage of 43,75% and then increased again into 80,13 with the classroom achievement percentage of 81,25% on the cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that Paired Storytelling learning method can improve the storytelling abilityon the students at grade V of Majasto 02 State Elementary School of Sukoharjo inacademic year of 2015/2016. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan bercerita melalui melalui penggunaan metode pembelajaran Paired Storytelling siswa kelas 5 SD Negeri Majasto 02 Sukoharjo tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Validitas data menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik deskriptif komparatif, dan teknik analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan bercerita dari skor rata-rata kelas nilai tes keterampilan bercerita sebesar 49,50 dengan persentase ketercapaian kelas sebesar 12,50% pada pratindakan, meningkat menjadi 60,75 dengan persentase ketercapaian kelas sebesar 43,75% pada siklus I dan meningkat lagi menjadi 80,13 dengan persentase ketercapaian kelas sebesar 81,25% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode pembelajaran Paired Storytelling dapat meningkatkan keterampilan bercerita pada siswa kelas 5 SD Negeri Majasto 02 Sukoharjo tahun ajaran 2015/2016.Kata Kunci : Keterampilan Bercerita, Metode Pembelajaran Paired Storytelling
