The purpose of this research is to produce learning materials based print media combined with animation learning media that can improve students' understanding of Engineering Mechanics 1 course. The subjects were students of Building Engineering Education in Program in first semester that following the Engineering Mechanics I course in the academic year of 2011/2012. The research object is the development of teaching materials and animation learning media. The products resulting from this research is the print instructional material of Engineering Mechanics I and animation learning media for the Engineering Mechanics I learning.
