PENGGUNAAN PENDEKATAN REALISTIC MATHEMATICS EDUCATION (RME) DENGAN MEDIA KONKRET DALAM PENINGKATAN PEMBELAJARAN GEOMETRI PADA SISWA KELAS V SD NEGERI JATIMULYO TAHUN AJARAN 2016/2017

Abstract. The Use of Realistic Mathematics Education (Rme) Approach using Concrete Media in Improving The Learning of Geometry for Fifth Grade Students of SD Negeri Jatimulyo in The Academic Year of 2016/2017. The objective of this research is to describe the improvement of geometry learning through the use of RME approach using concrete media. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within three cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of this research show that the use of RME approach using concrete media can improve the learning of geometry. It was proven by the increase of learning outcomes in the first cycle 88,00%, Second cycle 88,46%, and third cycle 92,59%. The conclusion of this research is the use of RME approach using concrete media can improve the learning of geometry for fifth grade students of SD Negeri Jatimulyo in the academic year of 2016/2017.Keywords: RME, Concrete media, GeometryA Abstrak. Penggunaan Pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dengan Media Konkret dalam Peningkatan Pembelajaran Geometri pada Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri Jatimulyo Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Tujuan penilitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan pembelajran geometri melalui penggunaan pendekatan RME dengan media konkret. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dimana setiap siklusnya terdiri atas dua pertemuan melalui perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan RME dengan media konkret dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran geometri. Hal ini terbukti dari persentase siswa pada siklus I = 88,00%, siklus II = 88,46%, dan siklus III = 92,59%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan pendekatan RME dengan media konkret dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran geometri pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Jatimulyo tahun ajaran 2016/2017.Kata kunci: RME, Media Konkret, Geometr
