This research aim was to determine the effect of Discovery Learning on metacognition skills and student learning outcomes. The design used was a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The research samples were the students of VIIB and VIIC amounted of 60 students that were selected through cluster random sampling technique. Data on metacognition skills were obtained from questionnaires and learning outcome data (cognitive aspects) using pretest and posttest. Questionnaires of metacognition skills were analyzed descriptively while learning outcomes were analyzed by Independent Sample t-Test at 5% confidence level.
