Prevalensi Dan Intensitas Telur Cacing Parasit Gastrointestinal Pada Ternak Babi (Sus scrofa domesticus L.)

Worm disease in livestock is a very important thing to observed, due to related to the amount and quality of the desired meat. This research method is descriptive and has done by observing worm eggs in pig faeces consisting of 24 samples of male pig faeces and 36 samples of female pig faeces on Marangkayu farm. The results has showed that there were 5 types of parasitic worm eggs in pig faeces from Marangkayu farm is namely Fasciolopsis buski, Echinococcus granulosus, Ascaris suum, Trichuris suis, Ancylostoma duodenale. The prevalence and intensity values were found from high to low is namely Ascaris suum prevalence 71.67% and intensity of 1.672 items/individual in Ancylostoma duodenale prevalence of 46.67% and intensity of 164 eggs/individual; on Fasciolopsis buski prevalence 35% and intensity 7 eggs/individual; in Trichuris suis there is a prevalence of 15% and an intensity of 100 eggs/individual. Penyakit cacing pada ternak merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk dicermati, karena terkait dengan jumlah dan kualitas daging yang diinginkan. Metode penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dan telah dilakukan dengan mengamati telur cacing dalam kotoran babi yang terdiri dari 24 sampel kotoran babi jantan dan 36 sampel kotoran babi betina di peternakan Marangkayu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 5 jenis telur cacing parasit pada kotoran babi dari peternakan Marangkayu yaitu Fasciolopsis buski, Echinococcus granulosus, Ascaris suum, Trichuris suis, Ancylostoma duodenale. Nilai prevalensi dan intensitas yang ditemukan dari tinggi ke rendah yaitu prevalensi Ascaris suum 71,67% dan intensitas 1,672 item / individu pada prevalensi Ancylostoma duodenale 46,67% dan intensitas 164 telur / individu; pada prevalensi Fasciolopsis buski 35% dan intensitas 7 telur/individu; di Trichuris suis ada prevalensi 15% dan intensitas 100 telur / individu.
