Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial menggunakan model cooperative tipe snowball throwing di kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 15 Pontianak Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian 28 siswa. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah IPKG I, yaitu kemampuan guru merancang pembelajaran pada siklus I dengan skor rata-rata 3,29, siklus II 3,53, dan siklus III 3,61. Sedangkan IPKG II, yaitu kemampuan guru melaksanakan pembelajaran pada siklus I dengan skor rata-rata 3,04, siklus II 3,76 dan siklus III 3,87.
