The main object of this report is to make a comparison between communities in Guizhou, China, and those of the Toraja hill tribe of Indonesia. The survey of Guizhou was carried out in three places: Anshun, Guiyang, and Kaili.Three-storied towers and bridges are characteristic of Zhaoxing, which is a protected area of minority races in Guizhou. On the white walls of the towers there are paintings of males and females of the Ton tribe, flowers and butterflies. A dragon is drawn as a symbol of the spirit that presided over water for farming tribes. Along the rivers, communities are constructed on a large scale. Bridges link these communities.
