New methodological approaches to studying the philosophical heritage of al-Ghazali (1058-1111) are connected with the understanding of another culture as "a different culture and logic of thinking," the Arab-Muslim culture as a "phenomenon of cross-cultural interaction, the role of "the ideal of knowledge and cognitive attitude to reality" In the Muslim tradition.
