Objective. To carry out a systematic analysis of the data available in modern literature and to present the author’s own experience in treating gynecological patients with iron-deficiency anemia (IDA) in order to create an algorithm for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of IDA in this clinical group. Material and methods. The paper discusses the data of leading international and Russian guidelines for the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of IDA and gives the author’s own materials of following up patients with female reproductive system diseases and anemia for 15 years.
