A voltammetric procedure for the determination of flavonols, in particular rutin and quercetin, in pharmaceuticals is proposed. Microgram amounts of flavonols in model solutions have been determined by the proposed method with a standard deviation of 1 - 6%. Possible mechanisms of flavonol oxidation on solid electrodes are discussed. © 2005 Springer Science+Business Media, Inc
