Multi-word lexical entries in lsp dictionaries: Theoretical considerations

The article presents some selected aspects of the work in connection with English Forestry Dictionary covering the field of forestry. The emphasis is on the microstructure of the dictionary. In contrast to existing dictionaries in the field, this is a bilingual print dictionary of non-formal register designed to help the user see English foresters' "world picture", the way the English Forestry sublanguage mirrors the world. The dictionary provides the user with an in-depth treatment of the language used within the selected subject-field. The main principles of compiling the Dictionary are: etimological, thematic, functional.
