This research has tested the effect of mainstream emotional legacies within the DDR process and especially around the success of the reintegration process for ex-combatants. My analysis is based on an ex-combatant’s survey conducted in 2018. I proposed using a reintegration index from the citizen dimension process to analysis the influence of these emotions. To do this, I adapted a proxy to measure emotion through Becker’s triangle. Finally, the analysis also provided information about different ways to demobilize and has been enriched by discourse from the ex-combatants according to their experiences within the process.
