The purpose of the Heathing and Cooling Compression Sleeve is to prevent shin splints. The goal of the project is to give student the access needed to have heating and cooling to help with shin splints. Shin splints are an overuse injury along the tibia that affects over 3 milllion athletes. The heating and cooling compression sleeves would provided the treatment as well as prevention for shin splints. The heat dilates blood vessels, increases blood flow, relaxes muscles, and relieves soreness. The cooling reduces pain, swelling, blood flow and nubs sore tissues.
