Long-Term Response of South Carolina Coastal Plain Forests Disturbed by Hurricane Hugo

The primary goal of this project was to observe the long-term recovery of southeastern coastal forests post-hurricane. Data was gathered once every three years following hurricane Hugo from 50 established plots. During the study period, which ranged from 1992 to 2016, eight plots were discounted due to human interference with the forest recovery. Data consisting of DBH (diameter at breast height) were taken each period and compiled in order to understand the recovery trends unique to each forest type observed. My role in this project was to add the 2016 data to the pre-existing compilation as well as proofread all findings so that the project could be published
