Labor Market Entry and Job Performance of Vocational Education and Training Institute Graduates: Focusing on Junior and Polytechnic Colleges

This research first discusses some previous analyses of existing domestic and overseas studies and examines the actual condition of overseas vocational education and training institutes (especially in France, Germany, and the United States). Such discussion and examination are intended to capture current major issues for further research. Secondly, the results of our surveys, interviews, and telephone inquiries conducted among 800 graduates and many of their personnel managers (private companies or public corporations) illustrates the actual condition of labor market entry and job performance of graduates of junior colleges and polytechnic colleges.
