A Study on Developing Career Guidance Programs for Parent Education

Due to the instability of the labor market under the IMF economic crisis and the new policy for college entrance beginning in the year 2002, the importance of career guidance has greatly increased. To fulfill the role as primary advisors for their children's career, parents face great difficulties and much anxiety due to the lack of information and their unawareness on proper guiding methods for their children. The purpose of this study is to develop programs for parent education for career guidance. To find implications for the program development, we reviewed the theories of career development and previous programs involving parent education.
