It will be a basic premise of this paper that our subjective processes and philosophical world view have a determining influence on how we understand the creative process, ourselves as creative persons, and the resulting creative product. Although we are subject to perceptual mechanisms, most of us give little thought to the part we play in viewing reality, whether creative or mundane. As for our philosophy, sometimes we are not even aware we have one, although we utilize a philosophical base to form the foundations for reality and our belief systems
