You Posted What? Teaching Online Professionalism – Online

Access to education through online platforms has broaden the ability for individuals to achieve their educational goals. While a degree is essential for applying to that dream job, choices students make outside of an online learning management system can damage their chances for employment. Having a poor or nonexistent online reputation can sabotage students’ opportunities for internships and jobs. Teaching online professionalism in an online environment is a valuable addition to any program. This presentation will review the process of creating an online professionalism or e-professionals online module focused on the health sciences field. All stages of the collaborative process between a health sciences librarian, an instructional designer, an online learning librarian, and a nursing librarian will be reviewed and the requirements of creating a voluntary and open online module will be discussed. Additionally, the theoretical framework used to pace and construct the module will be reviewed and the framework used for assessment of scenario-based questions in the module will be presented
