Penerapan Pendidikan Karakter Siswa di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten Utara Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019

ABSTRACT SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten Utara was one of the private schools in Klaten Regency that applies character education to students through activities that have been programmed by the school. This research was written to describe how the process of applied student character education and what obstacles were faced by the school in the process of applying the character education of students and the solutions provided by the SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten Utara . This research includes field research, namely research conducted by visiting schools directly as the object of research. While the approach used was a phenomenological approach. The method used in data collection were interviews, observation, and documentation. The researcher written data, analysis of data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. Based on research that the researcher has done, the researcher could conclude that in the process of applied character education for students in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten Utara was done through example, planted and enforced discipline, habituation, created a conducive environment, as well as integration and internalization. While the constraints faced came from parents/guardians of students who were less cooperative with the school, lack of student awareness, and the influence of the child's social environment. For the solution provided by the school in the form of building good communication with parents, better mentoring and guidance as well as sudden workshops with certain themes in collaboration with the local police station.
