This study aims to determine the physical and mechanical properties of the casting results of gray cast iron on the molds of the button studs handprees and the chemical composition of the molds of the button studs handprees. The material used in this study uses cast iron with the addition of carbon and silicon. The research method used in testing is gray cast iron from handpress button wrap molds using 4 test materials, including CE meter testing, hardness testing, microstructure testing, and chemical composition testing. In the results of metal smelting tests using a CE Meter, the initial temperature is obtained when poured in a mold 1317.5°C, the liquid temperature is 1163.1°C, the shape is still liquid, the solid temperature is 1112.7°C....
