Algumas espécies de cetáceos produzem sons identificáveis proporcionando uma oportunidade de utilizar métodos de monitoramento acústico passivo (MAP) para avaliar aspectos ecológicos. Este estudo teve como objetivo desenvolver um protocolo de monitoramento acústico passivo e executar um primeiro passo no estabelecimento de uma biblioteca de assobios de odontocetos capaz de identificar os eventos de detecção de odontocetos registrados acusticamente na costa norte do Estado de São Paulo.
