During this project the method and calculation for a hydraulic axial piston pump efficiency test has been evaluated. There are difficulties in how the maximum displacement of an axial piston pump is defined and this also affects the efficiency calculation of the test. After research about this, a document with improved structure, calculation and presentation of the test data has been developed. Suggestions for further improving the test environment and automation of the efficiency test have been presented. To understand and experiment with the test environment, a simulation model has been developed.
