Requirements in exotic bird keeping, their health evaluation, fixation and diagnostics specification, commonly occurring cases and their treatment

Exotic pets make 33,7% of animal species that are kept as pets in Lithuania, from which 12% are exotic birds. For having these pets, it’s very important to correctly keep them, since 90% of illnesses come from malnutrition. These species demand special knowledge if you want to understand their wellness, correctly perform examination and other diagnostic procedures. For asses most common cases and their treatment plans, in X clinic and X veterinary cabinet I examined 33 bird cases (n=33). I was analizing their examination, wellness evaluation, fixation, diagnostic procedure technique, set treatment. It has been observed that birds are brought for appointments because of bone breaks (21.21%), digestive tract illnesses (18.18%), ectoparasites (12.12%). For the dissected birds the most common findings were liver structure abnormalities, pectoral muscle reduction (atrophy)
