Autistic children with sensory disorders and self-sufficiency assessment

Objective: To assess autistic children with sensory disorders and self-sufficiency, and submit ,,sensory diet\" method recommendations Habilitation Center professionals. Objectives: 1. To assess the independence of children with autism; 2. The assessment of children with autism sensory disorders; 3. Rate of children with autism and sensory disorders independence interfaces. Contingent subjects: the study was carried out in Kaunas Children's Habilitation Center. The study included children ages 4-7. The study involved 28 children, 23 boys and 5 girls. Methodology: in 2017 was carried out a survey to assess children's self-sufficiency skills, based on Ivoškuvienė R. and J. Balčiūnaitės a questionnaire. Also tactile disorders assessed was selected questionnaire C.B.Royeen ,, Touch disorders assessment questionnaire. A questionnaire, filled in, the parents agreed to participate in the study. The survey was conducted anonymously. Study Results: It was found that all areas of autonomy averages statistically significantly different (p <0.05). Independence skills development / education is uneven. As a survey the majority of respondents, focused on eating behavior, personal hygiene, dressing education. The lowest average self-sufficiency was graded clothing, because most of the parents to be done for the children. It was found that low-retarded children with footwear and supervision Scale values significantly lower than the children whose parents did not mention what retarded level (p <0.05) (Fig. 3). All other estimates autonomy areas are similar among children, regardless of the level of mental retardation and who did not (p <0.05). All areas of autonomy with each other closely associated with the development of one specific area, and the other is developing, although possibly uneven. The estimates were derived precent of the results, which showed that the majority of children have a slight (82.1%) and average (17.9%) level touch disorders. It was found that the touch disorders estimates is not statistically significant in children who have mild, moderate, considerable mental atsililikimo level and who did not (p <.05). The results showed that the touch disturbance estimates are related to eating and drinking scale scores (r = -0,419, p = 0.05) and footwear and supervision scale scores (r = -0,476, p & lt; 0.05). The higher estimates are touching disorder, the smaller is eating and drinking and footwear and supervision of independence skills. Conclusion: The self-assessment results, we conclude that children with autism are sufficiently independent, the vast majority is enough verbal or visual aid. In terms of sensory disorders, as well as the results obtained characterized by high ratings, since there were no severe or profound sensory impairment levels
