The cable network is innervating an increasing number of italian cities in order to perform new multimedial facilities and to lift up their international competitiveness as well. Naples represent a very interesting case of troubled city which entrusts to optic fibers also its urban re-launch. It is necessary to envisage how the scenario of the urban system will be in the future. By the adoption of a systemic approach it is possible to define an interpretative model of the city since that seems to offer the best opportunity for envisaging the interrelations between different elements of the system.
