Historically Black women have been the subject of malpractice and maltreatment by medical professionals in the American Health Care system. This is an interview-based study looking at the responses of mother child pairs to analyze how experienced discrimination by the mother can affect the child’s perception and outlook of the Health Care system. It is predicted that a Black mother that has experienced discrimination will score lower on the Client Satisfaction Questionnaire and that their child will also express distrust and fear of the American Health Care system.
