The 2013-2014 model‐based estimates of the carbonate system variables (total alankinity (TA), dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), and saturation state of araongite and calcite (Ω)) and water column parameters (temperature, salinity, and nitrate concentration) near the site of the sediment trap in the Santa Barbara Basin stem from the simulations described in detail by Turi et al. (2016). Simulated water column parameters span from the sea surface (0 meters) to approximately 275 meters water depth.
