Obtaining the AEO status

Curs: 2018/2019The Authorized Economic Operator is a certificate that enables multinational brands become a synonym of trust, organization and security. This master’s thesis aims at obtaining the Authorised Economic Operator status to a multinational company present in more than 75 countries. This project is addressed to the Spanish Company ISTOBAL Group in an attempt to suggest some actions in order to obtain the AEO status and consequently help them expand their business in an international context. To this aim, the situation of the two core companies of ISTOBAL Group – which are ISTOBAL Manufacturing S.L.U and ISTOBAL S.A. – has been analysed. Additionally, the study also focuses on the requirements stated by the World Customs Organisation to become an operator and the procedures needed to be followed after obtaining this status. Finally, there will be a discussion on the actions that need to be done by the company, including a plan in order to implement it in the company. With this proposal, it is expected that the company can use this study to obtain the AEO status and go further in their process of the company expansion worldwide
