At present, there are a large number of theoretical and empirical methods of development of electrical devices. In addition, a large number of technical objects is characterized by a cylindrical shape of their magnetoactive part. In particular, the electromagnets of control system of spacecraft orientation have the shape of cylinders. These electromagnets are made in the form of multi-layer solenoids with soft magnetic core inside.Despite a great number of numerical methods for calculation of the magnetic characteristics of technical objects, in practice, it is important to obtain the accurate analytical models that permit to analyze the model according to a set of parameters. The complexity of the relationship between the parameters of a technical object and its magnetic field makes it difficult, and sometimes makes it impossible to conduct a comprehensive analysis of structural, energetic and magnetic parameters of the technical object solely on the basis of the results of the numerical calculations.The article proposes an analytical method for calculating the magnetic moment of the cylindrical electromagnet and the efforts at the interaction of a cylindrical electromagnet with a magnetic plate, built on the basis of the mathematical apparatus of cylindrical harmonicsПредложен метод создания аналитической модели магнитного поля и намагниченности индуктивно намагниченного ферромагнитного цилиндра во внешнем аксиально-симметричном поле с помощью цилиндрических гармоник.
