Endocrine disruptors (EDs) are a major concern because of their effects on the main physiological functions, particularly on the reproductive function.In vertebrates, reproduction is under the control of a neuroendocrine axis called hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. It includes various actors atthe brain (gonadotropin releasing hormones (GnRH) and kisspeptins), pituitary (gonadotropic hormones) and gonadal (sex steroids) levels.
