This article clarifies the problems of an event arising from the strike in 1985 that originated at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (UACh). This event provoked social involvements and consequences arising from the unification of the protest by other educational institutions and members of society, including the implications of political, administrative and teacher power groups. To carry out this study, the methodology of consultation and analysis of documents was used. Additionally, the use of oral history along with in-depth interviews allowed us to obtain information from the actors involved in the event, which was further analyzed.
