Selenium is a trace element that its main function is the protection against the oxidative stress caused by free radicals. Despite itsimportance in newborn is well-known, influence of maternal serum levels in neonates is worse studied. In this issue, we try to studypregnant selenium levels in our region and their possible influence in newborns.
