The present status of the Gallium Solar Neutrino Experiment to be performed by the GALLEX collaboration in the Gran Sasso Underground Laboratory is described. The implementation phase of this experiment is now almost completed, data takiing will start in spring 1990. After a short introduction and an outline of the basic experimental procedure, details will be given on different parts of the experiment
