This study aims to highlight the goodness of GPP practices in response to environmental and economic problems, with special reference to experiences in European countries. After a systematic review of the documental sources and regulations, the paper presents the results of a multidimensional analysis conducted on a cluster of 108 GPP practices, identified in the European Union and implemented by governments in 27 countries at central, regional and local levels. Among the analyzed variables includes the geographical origin of the cases, concerned administrative level, implementation period, GPP criteria of implementation, environmental and economic impact.
