The paper re-examines the authenticity and scientific content of two dubious texts, that is the treatises On tides and On sun’s heath, attributed to Robert Grosseteste, and proposes to assign them to the pen of Adam of Exeter (died circa 1237), a pupil of Grosseteste, later master of Arts and Friar Minor. The study also suggests a new chronology for Grosseteste’s writings in natural philosophy. The appendices provide a new listing of these works along with their manuscript witnesses and discuss some details of manuscript transmission
