The study aimed to identify oral health determinants that are present in early childhood, and amenable to change through positive attitudes and behaviour and for which there is scientific evidence of their influence on modulating the rate of caries progression. While biological determinants focus on the child, non-biological determinants take into consideration socio-economic, demographics and parental attitudes on child’s oral health related behaviour.
